Administrative Configuration
Uploading Default RVU Values
To begin configuration for the RVU report a practice administrator must upload the most up to date CMS RVU file which can be found on CMS' website. This file contains the the Work RVU values for all CPT codes and will assign RVU values to the CPT codes used within DocNow.
Note: When downloading the CMS file you will receive a zipped download with multiple files. The file that contains the RVU values is the .xlsx file that has RVU in its name. e.g. PPRRVU2025_Oct.xlsx
1. Navigate to your company settings.
2. Navigate to the RVUs tab.
3. Input a name for the file you are uploading.
4. Choose the RVU file from your computer to upload.
5. Select Upload.
- Please be patient as the file may take some time to upload.
- Once uploaded the information directly under RVU Data Management will show the most recent uploaded file.
- Uploading a new file will update any values that have changed since your last upload.
Customizing RVU Values
In addition to using the default RVU values from CMS practices have the ability to use their own custom RVU values for CPT codes. The following steps provide instruction on how to customize these RVU values.
1. Within the admin portal navigate to the Manage CPTs/ICDs tab, then choose the CPTs-RVUs sub tab.
2. Search or scroll to find available CPT codes, then choose the edit icon to edit the RVU value for a given code.
