Practice-Level Permission to Control Addendum Request Resubmissions from Billers

Purpose

• Supplemental article that explains how to toggle this practice-level permission, enabling providers to resubmit charges via addendum requests from billers.

Audience

• System Administrators

Instructions

1. Navigate to the Practices section in your administrator dashboard
2. Select the Permissions dropdown menu
3. Scroll to 'Resubmit Charge' and toggle the checkbox
   • By default, this permission is off / unchecked

Considerations

When Permission is Enabled

• Providers can resubmit the charge
• The Addendum request is marked as complete upon resubmission
• The charge is forwarded to the biller

Example of provider resubmission of a charge

When Permission is Disabled

• Providers can review and make changes to the addendum request
• Providers cannot resubmit the charge
• A notification is displayed to the provider indicating that resubmission is disabled due to practice level settings
• The addendum request state changes to 'completed'

Audit & Logging

• Changes to the permission setting are logged with timestamps and user information
