Overview
There are multiple configurations available within DocNow that allow for multiple providers to interact with the same note.
Summaries
Co-Signature
- Within DocNow providers have the ability to have notes co-signed. When users with specific credentials like NP or PA are associated with other providers who are MDs or DOs, the NP/PA users can request to have their notes co-signed.
- An example use case would be a supervising provider co-signing a certain percentage of a Physician Assistant's notes.

Second Signature
- When this permission is enabled, after the note has been signed a button shall be displayed at the top of the patient note with the text “Signature Request”. When a provider clicks “Request Signer” a drop down is displayed containing all Provider associated with that provider.
- An example use case would be a supervising provider providing second signatures on a Physical Therapist's notes.

Supervisory Signature
- The Supervisory Signer functionality introduces a review and sign-off process for documentation and billing. When enabled, it restricts providers from directly signing and submitting their notes and charges.
