MIPs Measure 7 - Coronary Artery Disease (CAD): Beta-Blocker Therapy

DocNow now supports MIPs Measure 7 which tracks the percentage of adult patients with diagnosed coronary artery disease who also have a prior myocardial infarction or LVEF ≤ 40% and are prescribed beta-blocker therapy. This measure includes two submission criteria (7-1 and 7-2) which can be submitted independently by the provider. The MIPs Selection UI now includes a dropdown for providers to specify LVEF status.

Autosave Optimization

The note editor autosave functionality has been optimized to improve performance and reduce unnecessary server load. Two key improvements have been made:

• The system now detects when note content has not changed since the last save and skips redundant writes to the database.
• Only one autosave request can be in-flight at a time. If additional changes are made while a save is in progress, they are coalesced into a single follow-up save once the current request completes.

These changes reduce database load, prevent potential state conflicts, and improve overall system responsiveness during note editing.
