MIPs Measure 431 - Unhealthy Alcohol Use Screening
DocNow now supports MIPs Measure 431, Unhealthy Alcohol Use Screening and Brief Counseling. This measure tracks whether adult patients were screened for unhealthy alcohol use. Measure 431 is a three-submission-criteria measure and is processed as three separate MIPs items within the DocNow system.
TIN Assignment Based on Organization
Tax Identification Numbers (TINs) can now be assigned to multiple Organization rather than being restricted to a single Company or Organization. When enabled, TINs are associated with specific organizations, and all billing outputs — including charge reports and integration messages — reflect the corresponding TIN for each organization. This supports companies with segmented TINs across multiple organizations and enables accurate revenue cycle management.
To enable this feature the practice permission Prefer Organization TIN must be enabled by a DocNow team member. Organization's TIN is established within the Practice tab within the practice's setting screen.
Organization Field on Provider User Creation
Admins can now assign an Organization to a newly created provider directly from the user creation page. Previously, after creating a provider, admins had to navigate separately to Company Settings >> Organization to assign the provider to the correct organization. This enhancement streamlines the onboarding process by allowing organization assignment during initial user setup.
Note: This field is hidden if a Practices has either no Organizations configured or has disabled all organizations from the Company Settings >> Organization screen.
Co-Sign Request Category on Provider Dashboard
A new Co-Sign Request category has been added to the Provider Dashboard. Providers can now see notes that have been requested for their co-signature separately from notes they have already co-signed. This makes it easier for providers to identify and act on pending co-sign requests without having to search through their completed co-signed notes.
