Introduction
These release notes provide details on the latest update to the DocNow web application.
Version Details
Main DocNow Release Version: 2.4.0
Live Release Date: 06/18/2026
New Feature Details
Patient Tagging on My Patients Screen
Patient tagging is now available on the My Patients screen for both the Admin and Provider portals. Previously, providers could only add and manage patient tags from the Census screen. With this update, the same tagging functionality is accessible directly from My Patients, allowing providers and admins to organize and categorize patients without navigating to the Census. Tag visibility is enabled by DocNow using the Practice Permission for Tags.
BH Assessment Tool on My Patients Screen
When the Behavioral Health (BH) Assessment tool is enabled for a practice, a new BH Assessment section is now available in the My Patients column configuration. Providers can show or hide BH Assessment columns on their patient-specific My Patients view, giving them quick access to behavioral health assessment data alongside their other patient information.
POA/FA Dates in Wound Assessment Dot Phrase
The .woundassessment_all@dn dot phrase now includes the Present on Admission (POA) or Facility Acquired (FA) selection along with the associated date. A new POA/FA line appears after the Wound Status in the dot phrase output, displaying the classification and date (e.g., "POA/FA: Present on Admission, 05/05/2026"). When the date is not available, it displays "Date Undetermined." This allows providers to view POA/FA data directly within their note documentation.
PDPM Email Report Expiration Extended to 96 Hours
The expiration window for PDPM automated email report links has been extended from the previous duration to 96 hours. This gives facility contacts additional time to access and review PDPM Patient Reports received via the automated daily email before the secure link expires.
Cosign Dashboard Cleanup
Two UI improvement have been made to the Cosign Request category on the Provider Dashboard:
- The Cosign Request section has been relocated to a more intuitive position on the dashboard locating Unsigned notes and Cosign Requests next to eachother.
- The terminology has been corrected from "Co-sign" to "Cosign" to match the standard naming convention used throughout the application.
Bug Fixes
Note Viewer Discrepancy
Fixed an issue where viewing a note from the Note Editor's right panel (Patient Detail >> View) displayed inconsistent or incorrect content compared to the actual note. The note viewer now accurately reflects the note content.
