Version Details
Main DocNow Release Version: 2.5.0
Live Release Date: 07/02/2026
New Feature Details
BH Assessment Tool Columns Added to My Patients
For companies with the BH Assessment tool enabled, a new section is now available in the My Patients Columns to View settings. Users can show or hide BH Assessment tool columns on a per-patient basis, giving teams more control over which information is visible in the My Patients view.
Co-sign Upload Behavior Company Setting
A new company-level setting is now available to control when co-signed notes are uploaded to PCC. Previously, co-signed notes followed a separate upload schedule. Companies can now configure co-signed notes to upload to PCC immediately upon co-signing — consistent with how Second Signing upload behavior works. This setting is managed under Company Settings >> Co-sign.
Expired ICD and CPT Codes Excluded from Carry Forward
The Carry Forward CPT and Carry Forward ICD features have been improved to automatically exclude expired codes. Previously, codes that had expired as of the note's Date of Service could be carried forward, requiring users to manually remove them. Now, any code that is expired for the relevant Date of Service or beyond will be automatically omitted during the carry-forward process, reducing manual cleanup and coding errors.
Consent Form Documentation Added to Ambulatory Module
Providers using the Ambulatory/Outpatient module can now document consent forms for patients seen through appointments. Previously, consent form functionality was only available in the census view. This update brings the same consent capabilities from the census to the appointments area, allowing ambulatory providers to complete and record patient consent without leaving the appointments workflow.
eCQM CMS130v14 — Colorectal Cancer Screening
DocNow now supports eCQM Measure CMS130v14 — Colorectal Cancer Screening (MIPS Measure 113) for the 2026 performance year. This measure evaluates whether patients ages 45 to 75 received appropriate colorectal cancer screening. Providers can now document and track this quality measure within DocNow to support MIPS reporting requirements.
Bug Fixes
Bulk Note PDF Export Reliability Improved
Fixed an issue where bulk PDF note exports would fail after only 1–2 notes, often displaying an export failure message and requiring users to log out and back in to reset. Note exports are now handled by a dedicated background process, allowing multiple notes to be exported simultaneously without blocking the application or timing out.
Wound Procedures Now Populating Correctly
Fixed an issue where wound procedure data was not populating correctly in certain configurations. Wound procedures now display as expected.
Patient Advanced Search Restored
Fixed an issue where searching for patients in DocNow would result in an indefinite loading spinner with no results returned. The issue persisted across browsers and sessions until resolved server-side. Patient search now works correctly and returns results as expected.
Consent Form Preserved When Merging Patient Records
Fixed an issue where a patient's consent form was not transferred to the surviving account when two patient records were merged. Consent forms are now correctly carried over to the merged patient record during the merge process.
Edit Codes Icon Now Opens Correctly on Notes
Fixed an issue where clicking the edit codes icon on a note would not open the code editing interface, preventing users from updating ICD-10-CM and CPT codes. The icon now opens the code editor as expected, allowing users to make code changes without issue.
Missing Patient Profile Tabs Restored
Fixed an issue where certain patient profiles were missing navigation tabs — including History, Admissions, and Documents — in the patient profile menu. All expected tabs now display correctly for affected patients.
