Census Related Changes
Census Encounter Status
Previously the Encounter Status was represented by a green or red dot but has now been updated to text to improve the user experience. Encounter status gives user a quick look at Complete and Incomplete censuses. A complete census is defined as a Daily Census containing the same number of patients, signed notes and submitted charges. If any of these items does not match then the census is considered incomplete indicating that additional charting is required or that a patient was not seen.
Associated Provider Census Creation
Providers now have the ability to create censuses for their associated providers (previously only possible for MAs). Speak to a DocNow Account Manager to enable this permission for your practice.
Census Display for Patients Who Have Moved Facilities
Charging for patients which exist on a census but have moved to a different facility are now restricted from charting. Users can view the history of the move and can delete the patient from the census without discharging the patient.
Census Display Settings Updated
The Census Columns View and Census Download PDF has been updated with a new UI. Use this screen to configure which columns are displayed on the Census and to configure which fields are exported to downloaded Census PDFs.
Census Organization Now Mandatory
If a provider or MA is associated with an Org then this field is displayed in the Create New Census dialog and is mandatory.
