UI Improvement for User Settings
Overview
The Company Setting UI has been improved to change the menu/category selection from horizontal to vertical allowing more options to be visible to the user.
Admin Portal
Admin Configurable Specialties
Overview
A new screen has been added to the Admin Portal under Company Settings for managing specialties. This feature allows admins to create, edit and delete specialties for a company.
Admin Portal
- Login to the Admin Portal, then navigate to the Welcome Banner (top right) >> Settings >> Specialties screen
- New specialties can be added by the Admin. These specialties will display in a dropdown menu within the Users>> Edit User screen in order to be associated with a user.
- Specialties will be used in future reporting and consent form features.
New Electronic Signature Settings
Overview
The Doc Now notes have been improved to include an electronic signature regardless of the content found within the template. When a note is signed, the following content is added to the bottom on a note for providers with Custom Signature enabled.

Setting Up Your Signature
Provider Portal
- As a provider, navigate to the settings icon (
) >> Signature screen
- Enable the Customer Signature, size of the signature and click Save
With the customer signature enabled, signed notes will contain the following footer where datetime is the time the note was signed:

User Specific MIPs Permissions
Overview
A new user permission feature has been added to enable or disable MIPS for specific users, even if MIPS permission is enabled at the company level.
Description
- Company Settings: If MIPS is disabled in the company settings, no provider will be able to access MIPS.
- Default Provider Access: When MIPS is enabled at the company level, all providers will, by default, have access to MIPS.
- Admin Control: Admins have the ability to disable MIPS for specific users through a new option in the user permissions dropdown.
Keyboard Shortcuts for Note Dropdowns
Overview
Enhancements have been made to the CK Editor to improve usability with new keyboard shortcuts for managing dropdown menus.
Description
When the cursor is over a specific dropdown, users can now navigate and interact with dropdowns without using the mouse. Using the following shortcuts:
- [o]: Open the dropdown menu.
- [arrow keys]: Navigate up or down through the dropdown options.
- [s]: Select or deselect an option.
- [c]: Close the dropdown menu.
New dot phrase .icd10ap@dn
Overview
A new phrase, .icd10ap@dn, has been introduced to provide a formatted output for ICD-10 codes along with assessment and plan sections.
Description
The new phrase .icd10ap@dn generates output in a structured format for each ICD-10 code, followed by the diagnosis name, and includes placeholders for "Assessment" and "Plan".
The format will display as follows:
- ICD-10 Code followed by the description.
- Assessment: Placeholder for the assessment details.
- Plan: Placeholder for the plan details.
Procedures auto coding
Overview
A new feature has been introduced to automate the calculation of CPT code units for procedures that are performed multiple times on the same date of service. The system will adjust the unit count while keeping the CPT code unchanged.
Description
- Unit Calculation: When a procedure is repeated on the same date of service, the system will automatically increment the unit count to reflect the number of repetitions.

- UI Display: The unit count will be visible in the note editor charge capture tab and in all areas where units are displayed.

ZenDesk Email Improvements
Overview
Emails sent from DocNow Support have been updated to improve readability and presentation. JSON formatting for metadata has been removed.
Description
Support emails now display ticket information in a clean, structured format.
The updated format includes the following fields:
- Name
- Patient
- Facility
- Company
- Description
